Wellset Books Print & ebook formatting

Your manuscript, formatted and ready to publish

From memoirs and novels to nonfiction and devotionals, we turn your manuscript into print-ready PDFs and ebooks that are clean, professional, and ready to upload. With over a decade of experience and hundreds of titles delivered.

Open spread of a wholefoods cookbook interior: a full-bleed photograph of a vegetable quiche fills the left page; the right page sets the recipe in a script title with a two-column ingredients and method layout.
Novel formatted as an ebook: the opening page of chapter one with a drop cap, shown in a dark e-reader frame.

Our process

Step 1

Tell us about your book

Send us your manuscript and where you plan to sell it: Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, or wherever else you’re selling. We’ll come back with a quote and a timeline, and we may ask a few questions first so we’re clear on exactly what you need.

Step 2

Personalize your design

Before any formatting, we settle the decisions that shape every page: trim size, fonts, chapter openers, drop caps, running heads, and so on. If you have a design you’d like to draw from, we can work from that too. Either way, you end up with your own design, since we don’t use templates.

Step 3

See a sample first

Next we format a sample layout for you: a chapter opener and a few interior pages. It shows how the choices from the previous step come together, so you can see the direction on the page and approve it before we format the rest of your manuscript.

Step 4

We format the interior

Once you sign off on the sample, we hand-format the full book and build the right file for each platform: print-ready PDFs and reflowable or fixed-layout EPUBs for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or any other platform you choose.

Step 5

Review, revise, deliver

After typesetting is done, you review the proof and we revise until it’s right. The final files are tested against each platform’s live previewer to confirm they upload cleanly, then delivered with your source files alongside.

Common questions

How long does a project take?
Most print interiors and ebooks are ready in 1-2 weeks from when you send the final manuscript. Children’s books and custom interiors take longer, up to 4 weeks. Every book is different, so we’ll always try to work with your launch deadline.
What file format should I send?
A Word document (.docx) is ideal. We also accept InDesign and clean PDFs exported from Word or InDesign. If all you have is a scanned print copy, send it anyway and we’ll tell you whether it’s workable before quoting.
How does pricing work?
Every package has a starting price listed on the services page. Final price depends on length and complexity. We’ll confirm the final price before any work begins, and all quotes include revisions.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. You can book a free 15-minute intro call and we’ll talk through your book, your timeline, and which package works best for you. And if you’d rather keep it in writing, the contact form works just as well.
Do you handle the cover?
No, we focus on the interior. Cover design is a separate craft, and we’re happy to recommend a trusted specialist if you need one.
What if my file is rejected by KDP or Ingram?
Every file is tested against the live KDP previewer or Ingram preflight before delivery, so rejections are rare. If one does come back, we revise as many times as it takes to get it accepted, at no extra charge.
How many revisions are included?
Unlimited. We keep refining until you’re happy with the result, and that applies to every package.
Can you match an existing book’s look?
Yes, and we encourage it. Send a reference book whose interior you love and we’ll build a similar typographic system, calibrated to your own manuscript.
